GRANDFATHER CLOCKS
ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What kind of wood are your grandfather clocks and cuckoo clocks made of?

Our cherry finish clocks are made of linden wood and our oak finish clocks are made of ash.  They come finished nicely.

What kind of movements do your grandfather clocks have in them?

They have dependable 31 day key wind movements.  You wind then once per month.  They are totally mechanical and are NOT battery operated.  The movement is driven by the springs you wind instead of the weights.  The chimes are created by two hammers hitting two chime pin rods.  It is hard to beat these dependable movements.

Do the pendulums swing on your grandfather clocks?

Of course they do...our grandfather clocks are real pendulum clocks.  If you stop the pendulum from swinging the clock stops.

Do your grandfather clocks have a night time shut off switch for the chime?

No, our grandfather clocks do not have a shut off switch.  The tone is however pleasant.

What if my grandfather clock arrives with some shipping damage?

In the unfortunate event that you receive your grandfather clock and it has been damaged in transit you should contact us as soon as possible and we will ask you some questions to find out what part is damaged.  We will either send you out a replacement part the next business day or if it is not repairable we will have your clock picked up and send you a replacement.  Because they are packed well only 2% of our clocks arrive with shipping damage.  This means that 98 out of 100 arrive in perfect order.

Do your grandfather clocks have a warranty?

You bet they do.  Your grandfather clock has a one year warranty.  If you have a problem with your clock just contact us and if it is defective we will repair or replace it.

Why are your grandfather clocks priced so cheap?

We are the wholesale source for these grandfather clocks.  When you buy from Hazel Online Mall a division of Hazel Enterprises, LLC you are buying direct.  We do have retailers who buy from us and resell our clocks but we are the source.  You are guaranteed to not be going through a middle man.  We deal in high volume and low profit margins and you still get high quality but not a high price.

Do you have your own warehouse?

Yes, we do.  Our warehouse is located right here in Hazel, KY.  We do not use any freight forwarding services or off site warehouses.  We handle every order ourselves from start to finish.  We test every clock before it leaves our warehouse.  This is why we can guarantee that we will ship your order the very next business day after it is received.  If you are in the area feel free to stop by and see us.  We may even put you to work.

Can I come and look at your grandfather clocks and buy a clock in person?

You bet you can.  You are welcome here.  We are open sometimes for long hours but our guaranteed hours are 10:00-4:30 M-F * 10:30-5:00 Sat * 1:00-5:00 Sun.. These are central times.  We have a display set up so you can see each of our clocks.  You can then choose the clock you want and we will load it up for you out of our warehouse.  We have never had anyone come to look at our clocks that did not purchase at least one.

We see you are located in Hazel, KY.  Where is Hazel?

How long will it take for me to receive my grandfather clock?

We will ship your grandfather clock the same day or next business day.  If we get your order early enough in the day before the truck arrives we can usually get it on that day's truck.  If not it will go out the next business day.  Then depending on where you live it will take 1 to 5 business days for delivery.  This will all depend on how far your location is from Hazel, KY.  We strive to hurry things along here at our warehouse and get your order filled and our shipments out.

Is there any assembly once I receive my grandfather clock?

Yes, but it won't take long and is truly simple.  The only tool needed is a philips screwdriver to insert 8 machine screws.  It will not take you more than 10 minutes from start to finish.  There are excellent instructions and if you have any problem or questions our toll free number is listed on the main page and the "contact us" page of our site.  We will be glad to assist.  We pack our clocks this way for safe shipment and so we can have them delivered by UPS and not a freight truck that would then cost a few hundred dollars for delivery.  There is nothing technical about the assembly and set up.  All technical parts pertaining to the clock head and clock movement are pre assembled and require no further attention.

What if I receive my clock and decide to return it, do you have a return policy?

Yes, a link to our return policy can be found on the main index page of our website.  You can also get there by clicking here.

Will I be able to reach a real person on the phone if I need help or have a question?

You bet yea...We take this very seriously.  We have a toll free number you can call.  We even try to have at least one person on call after hours to answer questions and help if needed.  In the rare event you do have to leave a message you can bet your bottom dollar we will return your call as soon as we can.  We do not screen calls or hide behind answering machines and do not like companies who do.  Word to the wise.....if you can not reach a real person during normal business hours or get your calls returned or emails replied to in a reasonable amount of time do not make the purchase.  You need to know that if there is a problem with your purchase after you receive it that you will be able to get the help you need.  We're here for you if you need us.

How much is shipping going to cost me for a grandfather clock?

We believe in keeping things simple so we charge a set rate of only $79.95 per grandfather clock and $24.95 per cuckoo clock to any destination
in the 48 Continental US states.

How long have you been in business?

We have been here at this location and in business since November 1st, 1994.

When ordering online is my credit card and order information secure?

Most definitely.  For your protection and peace of mind we keep an up to date geotrust ssl certificate to verify our identity to you.  You can view the certificate information on the first page you see once you add a grandfather clock to your shopping cart but before you enter any personal information.  We then use authorize.net which is a Wells Fargo company and their 128 bit encryption to process your credit or debit card for your order.  We will not and would not compromise your personal or payment information.

How can I get a tracking number for my order?

Once you place your order give us about 24 hours and then go back to our site http://hazelonlinemall.com and on the left hand side of the main index page you will see a link called "Order Status" .  You can click on it and log in with your email address as the username and the password you received when you placed your order.  Once into your account you can check your order history and get your tracking number by clicking on "track".   You can go to http://www.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc=en_US  and key in your tracking number to track your order online.  You can also feel free to call us for the tracking  information.

What if my grandfather clock does not strike the correct hour?

If the clock is new, allow it to operate for several hours before making any adjustments. If the strike is off, grasp the HOUR HAND ONLY (short hand) and rotate it forward or backward to line up with the correct hour on the dial indicated by the number of times the hour strikes. Rotating this hand independently will not harm the movement. Then adjust the hands to the correct time by rotating the minute hand (long hand) clockwise being sure to stop at each hour and half hour to allow it to go through its chiming process.
